Cyclist killed in Bury: driver pleads guilty to causing death by careless driving (23/3/11)

A driver has appeared in court and admitted causing the death of a Bury cyclist last year.

Lee Kenny, aged 41, of Rochdale Old Road, Bury, pleaded guilty on Monday to causing death by careless driving at Bolton Crown Court.

Bernard Parkes, aged 64, of Radcliffe Road, Bury, suffered a head injury in the collision and died two days later.

A bus driver who swerved towards a cyclist out of spite in a terrifying act of road rage has been told he faces jail.

This appears to be a rare outbreak of sense on the part of prosecutors.

Cyclist killed in collision with a lorry on Bath Road, Thatcham (24/1/12)

A 40-year-old man from Thatcham, Berkshire, has died after the bicycle he was riding along the Bath Road was hit by a lorry on the 24th January.

CTC's view: 

By our count the 3rd lorry-related cyclist fatality in 2012.

It does not appear that the driver of the lorry has been arrested.
