Cyclist killed in hit-and-run collision in Glasgow (12/12/11)

A cyclist has died following a hit-and-run collision in the south west of Glasgow.

Police said a dark-coloured vehicle collided with the victim’s bicycle on Paisley Road West, near the junction with Portman Street at 5.45 on the 12th December.

He was taken to the Southern General Hospital in Glasgow, but died soon after arriving.

The car, which was heading west towards Paisley, did not stop after the incident.

The man who died has not been identified by the police.
