Arrest after cyclist dies in Dwygyfylchi 'hit and run' (9/12/11)
North Wales Police are treating a fatal collision in Dwygyfylchi, Conwy, as a hit and run involving a car and cyclist.
The woman who died was found in on Glan-yr-afon Road just after 05:50 GMT on Friday.
A police spokesperson said they would not be releasing her identity but she is believed to be a 47-year-old local woman.
A 28-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
The woman’s next of kin have been informed and are being supported by a family liaison officer.
Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision or who may have information to contact officers on 101 (if in Wales), 0300 3300 101, or to contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
